Anamaria Martinca, an actress from Romania. She won the British Academy Television Award Best Actress for her role in the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic. French, German English and Romanian are fluent languages. Her father, who is a teacher of theatre at one of Romania's most prestigious theatre schools, is an instructor in theatre. At the Mangalia Gala for Young Actors, she was awarded the Best Female Actor Award 2000. In 2008, she was honoured as a European Shooting Star' by the European Film Promotion Board. She was the lead in Cristian Mugiu's Romanian film "4 three weeks and 2 days" (4 months, three weeks and 2 Days) which won her the Palme d'Or award at Cannes Film Festival 2007. The film also earned two awards in addition, the Cinema Prize of French National Education System (FIPRESCI Prize) and the Cinema Prize. Youth Without Youth, a Francis Ford Coppola movie, was also a major part of her professional career. In 2008, Marinca portrayed Yasim in the BBC's five episode The Last Enemy. Marinca played the role in her role in the Romanian drama Boogie and in Oliver Hirschbiegel's critically well-known Five Minutes of Heaven. She appeared as Irma in Fury 2014, in which she portrayed a German name aunt of Emma.
